Thanks for your very welcome message, and here we go.

You asked me to bring some of my great memories of Marvin . Okay, here's one of them.

One night in upstate New York, I think in or around Newburg, Marvin and I sat up all one night talking about our times in music. I asked him how " Gonna Find Me A Bluebird" was born or written.The story was very interesting and made me think how true life is in a song.

Well I went back home with great memories that next day. About a year later when things weren't so going so well with me in my personal life, I started thinking about the story Marvin told me. As I sat there in my room all alone, I started writing about a bluebird I needed to hear or see. It took me about 45 minutes to write what I wanted to say. When I finished and started reading the ode, the music just came along just as natural as can be. So you see Jim, life will always be there for you when you need it, and I will always be thankful to my friend Marv and the great number one song of 1957.
